Compensation
Hourly Pay Rate: $22.60 - $24.24 Per hour

Job Summary
The Laborer performs duties to keep our plants operational, including routine maintenance, plant operation, clean-up, and equipment operation. Laborers must regularly tour, observe, and maintain all plant components.

Safety

• Participate actively in safety programs, safety huddles, and incident reporting.
• Promote safety culture through good decision-making.
• Participate in safety investigations and corrective actions.
• Follow all safety policies, including LOTOTO, Motor Vehicle, and Drug & Alcohol policies.
• Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Collaborate with the plant team to improve safety practices.

Quality

• Identify equipment issues affecting product quality and report production changes.

Technical Skills

• Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment.
• Lubricate plant and fleet equipment, adding fluids as needed.
• Report deficiencies for timely repairs.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Operate mobile equipment such as skid steer, pressure hose, manlift, front end loader, off-road haul truck, and water truck.

Teamwork and Communication

• Assist co-workers and supervisors.
• Communicate professionally with all team members.
• Work under adverse conditions to meet management goals.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in asphalt, concrete manufacturing, or construction preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Work outdoors in extreme conditions.
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Stand for long periods, kneel, bend, crawl, climb ladders.
• Work at heights and in tight spaces.
• Work in dusty environments.

• Understanding of mechanical systems including power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor systems.
• Perform general repairs using industrial tools.
