Job summary

Sodexo in Chattanooga, Tennessee is seeking a part-time Utility Worker to support kitchen and facilities by keeping cleanliness and sanitation across food production and service areas. You will wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and help with setup and breakdown as needed.

This role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long periods, and follow safety procedures. Benefits include PTO, health coverage, and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restocks supplies such as soap, towels, and cleaning materials.

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces; transporting and storing supplies; and assisting with basic set-up and break-down tasks as directed. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position.
