Utility Worker

HB Staffing is seeking a Utility Worker to join a growing and dynamic team.

Location: Carlsbad, CA

Pay: $31/hour

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday – Thursday or Tuesday – Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Experience: Underground utility work preferred; training available.

Education: High School Diploma.

Job Description:

• Perform digging and excavation work for underground utility repairs.
• Repair leaks on 6"–16" water lines and assist with general plumbing/line fixes.
• Use tools such as pipe wrenches, circular saws, dig bars, and shovels.
• Work outdoors in various street and sidewalk environments.
• Handle physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/digging for extended periods.
• Drive city vehicles occasionally as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and use provided PPE at all times.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to perform physically demanding labor for full shifts.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to operate basic utility and construction tools.
• Strong attention to safety and adherence to protocols.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
