Position Title: Utility Worker

Responsible for disassembling, cleaning, and sanitizing all food-processing equipment, including storage areas, manning the dish machine and pot washing stations, sanitation of floors, walls, mobile kitchen equipment, handling line clean-ups, enforcing safety rules and regulations, monitoring cleaning equipment and supplies.

FULL-TIME & PART-TIME opportunities available, including weekends. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.

Supervisor Title: Executive Chef

I. POSITION OBJECTIVE

Follow state sanitation regulations to prevent/eliminate bacteria spread. Complete daily cleaning assignments within designated timeframes.

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, guests, and staff.
• Clean floors and walls in kitchen and cafeteria.
• Clean kettles, steamers, carts, and service ware daily.
• Clean dish machine after each use and air dry parts.
• Store tableware properly.
• Dispose of trash after each meal.
• Deliver food carts and nourishments.
• Assist in dining areas.
• Collect and stack soiled dishes.

III. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.

IV. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum eighth-grade education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

V. LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

• Obtain all required food safety certifications, including ServSafe within one year of hire. Maintain current certifications and provide copies.

VI. PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly stand, walk, handle, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, or smell.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds regularly.
• Read and write in English, communicate effectively.
