An established industry player is seeking a Utility Technician to join their team. This role involves performing manual and semi-skilled labor duties related to the maintenance and repair of vital water distribution and wastewater systems. Starting Hourly Rate: $20.00. The rate of pay depends on qualifications.
Hiring/Retention Incentive
External candidates who are hired by SAWS will receive a $1,000 Hiring Incentive. This incentive will be split into two payments of $500, made on the second and fourth paycheck after hire. Upon successful completion of the six-month introductory period, the new hire will be eligible for an additional $1,000 Retention Incentive, paid during the seventh month of employment. The Utility Technician is responsible for manual and semi-skilled labor duties related to the repair, construction, and maintenance of the water distribution and wastewater collection systems. A valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License is required or must be obtained within six months of employment/assignment.
