Job summary

Via is seeking a hands-on Fleet Maintenance Technician to support overall fleet health in Salt Lake City. You will coordinate repairs, move vehicles to vendors, inspect for readiness and cleanliness, and help with tire swaps and light repairs.

You will work closely with Fleet Managers and support on-the-ground operations across local markets. The role requires initiative, teamwork, and attention to detail, with practical knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old with a valid driver's license.
• Pass pre-employment physical exam, drug screening, background check, and have a clean Motor Vehicle Record with no felonies or DUI/DWI.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Support overall fleet health by coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance; shuttling vehicles to/from vendors; inspecting vehicles for cleanliness, readiness and visual appearance and tracking out-of-service vehicles to optimize fleet supply.
• Perform smaller maintenance tasks such as tire swaps and light repairs.
• Perform vehicle cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with seamless fleeting and defleeting of vehicles, collaborating closely with Fleet Managers.
• Support the operations team with miscellaneous on-the-ground responsibilities, including maintaining and/or adjusting vehicle equipment and trade dress equipment, organizing workspaces, and assisting with local market initiatives.

• You are at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
• You can pass a pre‑employment physical exam, drug screening, background check, and have a clean Motor Vehicle Record with no felonies, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions, and no more than two speeding tickets.

Compensation And Benefits

• Salary: $20‑24 per hour, final salary determined by experience, knowledge, and skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
