Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Utility Technician to perform routine maintenance across diverse environments, conducting preventative work to improve reliability and reduce major repairs.

Responsibilities include keeping areas tidy, adhering to safety rules, inspecting and repairing fleet vehicles, and supporting tools. Some duties may involve high-rise cleaning with Boom Lift/Highlift. A valid driver’s license and forklift certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months in a company environment or equivalent experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clear MVR; forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean work area and comply with safety rules and procedures.
• Inspect and repair fleet vehicles, troubleshoot power tools or replace a broken component on a production machine.
• Inspect work processes to ensure projects turn out correctly.
• Follow safety standards and wear PPE as necessary.
• May use Boom Lift/Highlift for high-rise cleaning tasks (windows, dusting, stainless surfaces).

Utility Technician Job Description

Job Overview The Utility Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance activities in a variety of work environments. The individual will conduct preventative maintenance to increase effectiveness and alleviate the need for major repairs.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain clean work area and complies with company safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Follow posted safety standards and wears personal protective equipment when necessary
• Inspect and repair fleet vehicles, troubleshoot power tools or replace a broken component on a production machine
• Inspect work process to ensure all projects turn out correctly
• Take direction and responds to supervision and performs work assignments in a team with other employees
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• May utilize Boom Lift/Highlift to complete the following:
  • High rise Window Cleaning
  • High Rise Dusting
  • Cleaning of stainless steel and frames utilizing Light Cleaning
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/ or Experience

• High school diploma / GED - preferred.
• Six months in a company environment or equivalent experience - preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid Driver’s license with clear MVR.
• May be required to have forklift certification.
• Completed all safety and task training certifications

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Shifts and Compensation

Monday to Friday :5:00am to 1:30pm $15.50-$16.50 per hour
