Job summary

Verde Clean is seeking a Utility Technician in the United States Indiana area. The role focuses on custodial services, floor care, light maintenance, and operations support during Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with a base pay of $23.00 per hour and bonus incentives that can add up to $1 extra per hour.

The successful candidate will perform cleaning, supply handling, equipment maintenance, and safety-compliant operations across our facilities, contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial or facilities work preferred.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment safely.
• Ability to operate outdoor maintenance equipment safely.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to stand, move, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and light maintenance duties as assigned.
• Complete special cleaning projects, floor care services, and event setup/breakdown.
• Assist with supply inventory management and equipment maintenance.
• Support daily custodial operations and provide coverage as needed.

Utility Technician

As a Utility Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining our facilities through custodial services, floor care, light maintenance, and operational support. Position Details

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Pay $23.00/hour
• *BONUS* There are bonus incentives that could increase your hourly rate by up to another dollar per hour!

Key Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and light maintenance duties as assigned.
• Complete special cleaning projects, floor care services, and event setup/breakdown.
• Assist with supply inventory management and equipment maintenance.
• Support daily custodial operations and provide coverage as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and report facility or equipment concerns to management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in custodial, janitorial, facilities, or maintenance work preferred.
• Ability to perform floor care services using equipment such as:
  • Ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers
  • Carpet extractors
  • Floor care and cleaning equipment
• Ability to safely operate outdoor maintenance equipment, including:
  • Pressure washers
  • Leaf blowers
• Familiarity with general custodial tools and equipment, including:
  • Push brooms
  • Shovels
  • Utility carts
  • Wheelbarrows
  • Ladders
  • Push carts and dollies
• Basic troubleshooting skills for cleaning and maintenance equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout an entire shift on various surfaces including concrete, tile, and carpet; ability to climb stairs and navigate multi-floor facilities as needed
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. unassisted frequently; up to 35 infrequently
• Must be able to push and maneuver loaded janitorial carts, trash receptacles, and supply carts weighing up to 25 lbs. frequently; up to 35 infrequently
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and overhead reaching up to 8 feet using a step stool or ladder; repeated twisting and extension of arms and shoulders while mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and wiping surfaces
• Ability to grip, squeeze, and manipulate cleaning tools, spray bottles, brooms, mops, and equipment controls repeatedly throughout the shift; manual dexterity sufficient to operate floor buffers, auto scrubbers, wet/dry vacuums, and steam cleaners
• Ability to identify areas requiring cleaning, inspect surfaces for soil and residue, and read product labels and safety data sheets (SDS); ability to distinguish colors sufficient to sort waste streams and identify chemical products
• Must be able to work in environments with varying temperatures including outdoor areas, and high-humidity areas such as restrooms and kitchens; ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, odors, and allergens while following all PPE and safety protocols
• Capable of maintaining consistent physical output throughout the shift with standard rest breaks
