The City of Concord is seeking a Utility Systems Technician for Water Distribution. This role involves collecting and testing water samples, inspecting and repairing water meters, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility services and excellent communication skills.

The purpose of this position is to collect and test water samples, and to install, inspect, test, repair, and replace water meters and backflow devices.
Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations; utility services principles and practices; and equipment and tools of the trade.
Note: Applicants must meet the City’s criteria for an acceptable driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent, with six months to one year of advanced study, and at least three years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
