Job summary

Obsolete Site in Jackson, SC is looking for candidates to operate and maintain boilers and centrifugal chillers. This role requires shift work, including nights and holidays, and the successful candidate must obtain a Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate within a year.

Additional qualifications include maintaining a U.S. driver license and completing a pre-employment physical. Selection is also subject to Department of Defense restrictions on placement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains and performs miscellaneous repairs of boilers and associated equipment to ensure medium-temperature hot water (MTW) production at adequate quantities, pressures, and temperatures.
• Operates, maintains and performs miscellaneous repairs of centrifugal chillers and associated equipment to ensure chilled water (CHW) production at adequate quantities, pressures, and temperatures.
• Operates and maintains the Energy Management Control System (EMCS) which monitors and controls the mechanical equipment.

Qualifications

• Able to work rotating shifts to include nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency on-call.
• Position is Mission Essential.
• Able to obtain and maintain U.S. issued driver license.
• Pre-employment Physical is required.
• Able to obtain and maintain Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate by NIULPE or equivalent within one year of employment.
