Four Seasons Environmental, Inc. operates at the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility in Manhattan, Kansas. A Boiler/Plant Operator role involves operating boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and related equipment to maintain reliable utility services.
You will adjust controls, monitor SCADA/BMS systems, respond to alarms, and keep logs of operations while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across three available shifts.
Location: Four Seasons Environmental, Inc. – National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility: Manhattan, Kansas
Pay: $35.56/hr. plus fringe benefit of $9.87/hr.
Hours: We have three shifts available. Please identify in the questionnaire which shift you prefer.
Operate and monitor boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and auxiliary equipment to maintain consistent utility services.
Adjust system controls to regulate temperature, pressure, flow, and chemical levels.
Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
Monitor computerized control systems (e.g., SCADA, BMS) for performance and alarms.
Respond to alarms, equipment failures, and emergency situations in a timely and safe manner.
Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports of plant operations and maintenance activities.
Perform basic troubleshooting and assist maintenance staff in repairs of plant equipment.
Test and treat water systems (e.g., boiler and chiller water) to maintain appropriate chemical balance.
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA regulations.
Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives as directed.
