Job summary

Brevard County's Utility Services Department is seeking an accomplished administrator to direct and coordinate all aspects of utility construction projects at the Government Center in Viera, FL. The role is permanent, full-time, with a 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule, and open until filled.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Architecture, or related field and has at least six years of professional experience, including five years in a supervisory capacity.

THIS POSITION IS APPOINTIVE SERVICE


$3,306.82 to $3,637.50 biweekly.Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Performs skilled administrative work in directing and coordinating all aspects of utility construction projects.


REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related fieldPLUSSIX (6) years of professional experience relating to the area of assignment, including five (5) years in a supervisory capacity. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Certification as a Registered Architect, Professional Engineer, or Building Contractor is preferred.In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
