Job summary

Viatris is seeking an experienced Utility Supervisor in St. Albans, WV to lead daily manufacturing and packaging operations. You will ensure schedules, quality, and safety while coordinating staffing and resources across shifts to meet production goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 4–7 years of experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with GMP, SAP, TrackWise, and LMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily manufacturing and packaging operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety expectations are met.
• Conduct shift huddles, communicate production priorities, and reinforce key performance expectations.
• Provide supervisory coverage during vacations, absences, shift gaps, and business needs across multiple production areas.
• Communicate production results, staffing concerns, training progress, quality events, and operational risks to Manufacturing Management.
• Monitor staffing levels and allocate resources to support operational priorities.
• Support start-up, shutdown, line clearances, and changeover activities.
• Support onboarding and qualification of new manufacturing employees.
• Monitor training progress and identify development opportunities for employees.
• Assist in verifying job proficiency and readiness for qualification sign-offs.
• Support investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and quality improvement initiatives.

Minimum qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 4-7 years of relevant experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
• Must possess ability to flex schedule in order to fill gaps and meet production needs.
• Must possess strong communication, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must possess knowledge of GMP manufacturing, equipment operation, setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting. SAP, TrackWise and LMS.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $66,000.00 - $127,000.00 USD.
