Compass Group USA is seeking a Utility Supervisor to oversee sanitation operations across our venues, ensuring compliance with health standards and leading a team to maintain a hygienic, safe environment.

The ideal candidate has proven leadership in sanitation, can train staff effectively, and maintain equipment while coordinating with other departments to meet high cleanliness benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Utility Supervisor or similar role.
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations, procedures and equipment.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Ability to train and guide staff.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to oversee multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in health and safety training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the sanitation team.
• Train staff on proper sanitation procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintain sanitation equipment and assist with ordering new supplies as needed.
• Implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain high sanitation standards.

Utility Supervisor oversees the operations of dishwashers in various kitchens, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, training staff on proper sanitation procedures, and maintaining sanitation equipment. Our ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong management skills, and a solid understanding of sanitation procedures and guidelines.

They should be knowledgeable about sanitation equipment and able to lead a team to maintain a clean, hygienic work environment. Ultimately, the Sanitation Supervisor’s role is to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our facilities to ensure a safe, hygienic environment for all.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the sanitation team.

• Implementing and monitoring cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain high sanitation standards
• Overseeing waste disposal and recycling efforts.
• Implement improvements to sanitation procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Address and resolve sanitation-related complaints or issues promptly and efficiently.
• Prepare and present reports on sanitation activities.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure sanitation standards are met.
• Ensuring all cleaning equipment and materials are used and stored correctly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Utility Supervisor or similar role.
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations, procedures and equipment.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Ability to train and guide staff.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in health and safety training is a plus.
• Minimum of 5year experience in a sanitation or culinary environment.
