Job summary

Mather Place in Wilmette, IL, is seeking a Utility Steward to support the Food and Beverage Department by keeping kitchen equipment and back-of-house areas clean, including dishwashing of china, glassware and flatware. This safety-sensitive role helps maintain a well-organized, efficient kitchen.

Job description

We are an award‑winning employerseekinga Utility Steward to support the team by demonstrating the highest standards of culinary excellence, accountability, respect, integrity, and compassion. The utility steward is responsible for providing support to the Food and Beverage Department by maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and back‑of‑house work area, including dishwashing of china, glassware, flatware. Maintains the food storeroom and executes special projects under the direction of the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine and/or Executive Chef. May also set up public areas and help in dining area as requested by management. This is a safety sensitive position.

This role is available intwo schedules (full-time and part-time):

• Full-Time Position:ScheduledTuesday through Saturday,7:00 AM–2:30 PM(regular days off:Sunday and Monday)
• Part-Time Position:ScheduledTuesday, Thursday, and Saturday,12:00 PM–8:00 PM

Please note that weekend availability is required, and holiday availability may be required depending on operational needs.

The hourly base wage range provided is a good faith estimate of what Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, certifications, years of experience, geographic location, and current market conditions. Hourly Pay Range

$18.25 - $19 USD
