Utility Start-Up Lead - US, Ohio - 10 Months Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Utility Start-Up Lead to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio. This is a large-scale greenfield capital project with an investment of more than $1 billion.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the start-up and commissioning of gray utility systems including compressed air, steam, process water, and waste utilities.
  2. Oversee contractors and vendors performing installation and start-up activities.
  3. Ensure systems are installed, tested, and performing according to project requirements and timelines.
  4. Serve as the go-to site lead for all utility start-up-related activities.
  5. Monitor system status, troubleshoot issues, and report progress to site leadership.
  6. Uphold site safety standards, including OSHA, LOTO, and JSA protocols.
  7. Facilitate daily coordination meetings and ensure execution aligns with start-up milestones.
Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience in utility or mechanical system commissioning/start-up.
  • Strong familiarity with gray utility systems.
  • Greenfield project and cross-functional team leadership experience.
  • Construction safety and start-up procedure knowledge (OSHA 10 required).
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
