Job summary

Century-Furniture is seeking a Materials Handler for the Upholstery Department. You will unload, transfer and store materials such as deck pads and Dacron and ensure supplies reach Inside Upholsterers on demand.

You will sort recyclables, keep storage areas organized, assist with inventory and help with making buttons and other items. The role involves standing, lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Great communication skills.
• Previous experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload, transfer and store materials used in the Upholstery Department (deck pads, tack bands, poly, staples, Dacron, etc.).
• Supply all Upholsterers with supplies.
• Sort recyclable material into appropriate areas.
• Maintain supply storage areas and bins in a neat and organized manner.
• Help maintain inventory on supplies and notify supervisor when supplies run low.
• Assist with making buttons and other necessary items.
• Keep floors swept and supplies in place; dispose of cardboard as needed.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by department manager.
