Job Description

The Utility Route Driver is responsible for driving a company vehicle over an assigned route to merchandise store products. The driver maintains market stores and vending machines by filling, stocking, and managing inventory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Merchandising: Merchandise products according to store layouts, roll-out promotions, gather customer feedback, maintain inventory levels (soft drinks, pre-packaged food, sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, fruits, vegetables, candy, pastries, snacks), count and record inventory, restock shelves and coolers, follow inventory tracking protocols, and manage out-of-date merchandise.
  2. Product Delivery: Review inventory needs, coordinate with warehouse, load/unload products safely, deliver merchandise to points of sale, and communicate with management about product and scheduling changes.
  3. Cash Handling: Collect money from kiosks, follow cash handling protocols, record transactions, and report suspicious activity.
  4. Food Safety & Sanitation: Handle and refrigerate perishable items properly, maintain coolers, and perform routine cleaning of equipment and areas.
  5. Inventory & Audit: Conduct monthly inventory counts, inspect food quality, report stale products, and conduct final walk-throughs.
  6. Additional Projects: Perform other assigned tasks as required.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass DOT requirements
  • Preferred: Retail experience and basic merchandising knowledge
  • Basic computer skills
