Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. seeks a Project Manager - Utility Line to oversee substations, transmission and distribution projects across multiple states. The role focuses on budgets, schedules, safety, and subcontractor coordination to meet contract requirements.

You will travel as needed and may work hybrid from home or office, with relocation to NE, KS, MO, IA or SD areas to fit project needs. Prior utility line project management and safety knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in project management.
• Minimum 2 years experience with substations, transmission line work, or distribution work.
• Knowledge of utility line and substation safety.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and MS Project.
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test, background check and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Substations, Transmission, and/or Distribution projects to meet contractual adherence.
• Develop and manage the project budget, financial tracking and owner billings.
• Develop and maintain the master project schedule.
• Coordinate construction efforts with Management and site supervision.
• Subcontract administration to ensure subcontractors meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage material procurement to support the project schedule and budget.
• Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
• Responsible for Change Management.
• Manage quality and productivity of crews and ensure efficient use of materials & equipment.
• Interface with clients, AE representatives, and others on the project site.
• Maintain client relationships to foster long term client satisfaction with IESCI.
• Provide feedback to estimating.
• Assist with adherence to the IESCI safety program.
• Travel is required.
• Employee must live or relocate to within NE, KS, MO, IA or SD areas as the position may be a hybrid from home or office.
