UTILITY PREP COOK - THE KEMPTON OF ROCK HILL

Join Liberty Senior Living as an Experienced Utility Prep Cook at The Kempton of Rock Hill.

Position Details:

  • Part Time, Days

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Follow recipes and food production schedules based on resident census.
  2. Record and report over-production, underproduction, and waste.
  3. Assist with food preparation to maintain nutrition, flavor, appearance, tenderness, and quality.
  4. Communicate actively with culinary staff and Sous Chef regarding inventory needs, usage, and shortages.
  5. Utilize safe food preparation methods during all stages of food handling.
  6. Monitor temperature records and checklists to ensure food safety.
  7. Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment at all times.
  8. Assist with cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
  9. Support setup and breakdown for catered events.
  10. Ensure sanitation of dining areas and assist with meal service during special events.
  11. Manage catering supplies and inventory.
  12. Promote positive interactions with co-workers, residents, and guests to enhance customer experience.
  13. Report any repair needs to the Sous Chef.
  14. Perform daily tasks according to policies and procedures, including emergency procedures.
  15. Attend training and meetings as required.
  16. Complete special projects and assist in other building areas as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; at least one year of culinary or food service experience, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, or country club.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards the elderly.
