Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Floater to maintain common areas in office buildings, apartments, and other facilities. The role includes cleaning lobby glass, polishing chrome, vacuuming cabs, and trash removal to ensure clean, safe, and orderly spaces.

The position emphasizes punctuality, dependability, and adherence to safety procedures, with duties performed across multiple floors and building entrances. On-site work environment and strong team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties as described in essential duties.
• Willingness to comply with safety and security procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean lobby glass doors.
• Polish chrome on lobby doors.
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice daily.
• Inspect building exterior and pick up trash.
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles.
• Check restrooms twice daily.
• Vacuum lobby daily or as needed.
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed.
• Remove debris from landscaped areas as needed.
• Sweep building entrances and clean marks on walls and doors.
• Policing lobby at high-traffic times to keep floors and planters clear.
• Vacuum carpeted floors and dust mop lobby floors twice daily.
• Assist building engineer daily as directed.

Guided by a Service Heart we are a company Built to Serve with a passion to exceed our customer’s expectations.Job Details:A Day Floater is responsible for maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Spot clean the lobby glass doorsPolish chrome on lobby doorsVacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a dayInspect the building exterior and pick up any trashClean ashtrays and sand urns on every floorEmpty and clean exterior trash receptaclesCheck restrooms twice dailyVacuum lobby once a day or as neededSweep stairwells and landings as neededRemove all debris from landscaped areas as neededSweep building entrancesClean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall coveringReport any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management OfficeReport any solicitors to the Management OfficeWhere applicable, police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc. Policing should be scheduled at high-traffic times each day.
