Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial properties in clean and orderly condition. Responsibilities include spot cleaning lobby glass doors, vacuuming elevator cabs, inspecting exteriors, cleaning restrooms, and removing trash.

The role requires punctuality, dependability, and adherence to safety procedures. You will assist the building engineer daily and support site operations with a customer-focused

Qualifications

• Must maintain cleanliness of common areas in commercial buildings.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors.
• Polish chrome on lobby doors.
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day.
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash.
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles.
• Check restrooms twice daily.
• Vacuum lobby floor daily or as needed.
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed.
• Remove debris from landscaped areas as needed.
• Sweep building entrances.
• Report any lights out to the Management Office.
• Policing lobby during high-traffic times; empty all trash receptacles.
• Vacuum carpeted floors and dust mop lobby floors twice daily.
• Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons.
• Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion.
