Job summary

Gun Lake Casino Resort is seeking a Utility Porter to maintain the cleanliness of the Casino Resort and public areas. You will support Gun Lake Casino Resort’s Unsurpassed Service standards and keep assigned areas clean while handling the movement of furniture and supplies.

The role requires attention to safety, ability to work with chemicals, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This position emphasizes teamwork and customer service within a vibrant casino environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous public-area or housekeeping cleaning experience preferred.
• Understand and comply with all Company and department rules.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
• Have basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned area.
• Operate tools and equipment as trained.
• Move, rearrange, and relocate furniture and equipment.
• Stock and maintain par levels of supplies in all porter closets.
• Clean biohazard spills and contaminated areas.
• Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals and electrical equipment used within the department.

Pick up and remove trash and broken glass.* Clean walls, ceiling, and vents.* Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals and electrical equipment used within the department.* Have knowledge of the MSDS booklet locations for your department.* Perform other related duties as assigned.**Work Conditions:**Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a non-sitting position. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage.
