Job summary

B&S Site Development is hiring a Utility Pipe Layer to assess ground conditions, dig trenches, assemble pipes, and lay pipes in alignment with city ordinances. You may also remove old piping systems, seal joins, and install auxiliary lines.

A strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and good physical fitness are essential. The role requires 1-2 years of construction experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to work with trenching tools.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of construction experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment/materials up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Measuring and configuring pipe routes.
• Gathering material and installation tools.
• Digging trenches using hand and machine trenching tools.
• Locating installed piping systems using magnetic or radio indicators.
• Removing old or broken piping systems.
• Laying pipes into trenches and applying pipe spacers.
• Checking pipe alignment and sealing pipes with cement glue.
• Installing auxiliary lines.
• Sealing exposed pipe joints and fittings.
• Filling and sealing pipe trenches.

Job Overview : As a Utility Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for assessing the ground conditions, digging trenches,assembling pipes, and laying pipes in accordance with city ordinates.
