Position Summary

Utility Persons are responsible for the sanitation and proper storage of china, silverware, and glassware, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area, and supporting kitchen staff. Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and committed to high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Essential Functions

• Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper functioning and chemical use.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Sweep and mop floors, check for hazards, and clean walls, racks, sinks, ovens, hoods, filters, drains, and vents.
• Empty trash cans and perform special cleaning projects.
• Follow safety procedures, understand chemical hazards, and maintain sanitation standards.
• Receive deliveries, organize stock, and sanitize items not washed in the dishwasher.
• Maintain cleanliness of loading dock and dumpster area.

Additional Responsibilities

• Adhere to hotel policies and work rules.
• Work flexible shifts based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
