Job summary

Maola Local Dairies is seeking a Utility Person to support ice cream production on the filler line, lid cartons, monitor the line, and supply labels. You will work with operators to keep production moving.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience preferred; strong safety, quality, and teamwork are valued. We offer competitive pay and a benefits package.

  • Places lids securely on cartons and refills the lidding machine to ensure quality.

  • Assists with inclusions for the fruit feeder and line needs.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area per safety standards.
  • Assists with additional production or sanitation tasks as directed.
  • Operates the can former machine.

SUMMARY

The Utility Person supports ice cream production by performing a variety of tasks to keep the filler line running efficiently. This includes placing lids on cartons, monitoring the filler line, supplying labels to machines, and assisting operators as needed.

  • Places lids securely on cartons and is responsible for refilling the lidding machine to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Monitors the filler line for proper operation and product flow, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Loads and replenishes labels in labeling machines to support continuous production.
  • Assists filler operators by supplying clean materials to support continuous production.
  • Assists filler operators by supplying inclusions for the fruit feeder and responding quickly to needs on the line.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area in compliance with plant safety and food safety standards.
  • Assists with additional production or sanitation tasks as directed by supervision.
  • Responsible for operating the can former machine.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.

  • The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids.
  • Exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/high. Wet/slippery work conditions.
