Job summary

Soules Foods in Gainesville, GA is seeking an Outside Utility RAW to coordinate waste management, cardboard recycling, and inedible products removal on the production floor. You will liaise with waste partners, supervise cleanup, and maintain sanitary stainless steel inventory to support continuous operations.

The role requires flexibility, safety focus, ability to drive a Lull, and the will to work on a cold production floor with PPE.

Normal Work Schedule: The typical working hours are 4:00 pm to 12:30am with a 30-minute lunch.

Job Summary

Liaison between John Soules Foods and waste management company, Pallet company, cardboard recycling company and inedible disposable company. Responsible for maintaining inedible area and clean stainless steel combo inventory.

Key Responsibilities

Duties / Responsibilities

Waste Management

Oversee the day-to-day process of making sure all trash from the plant has been placed in the open top dumpsters.

Contact our customer service representative when/if any scheduled pickups have been missed. And, if any extra pickups are needed that aren’t on the regular schedule.

Responsible for cleaning and always maintaining this area in a sanitary condition.

Cardboard Recycling

Oversee the day-to-day process of making sure all cardboard is removed from the plant has been taken to the baling area (truck shop).

Train all new baler machine operators on how to use the baler machine safely and efficiently.

Contact our customer service representative when the cardboard trailer is ready to be picked up.

Responsible for cleaning and always maintaining this area in a sanitary condition.

Inedible Products Removal

Oversee the process of all inedible products being removed from the plant, and either placed on the trailer or placed in the inedible staging area.

Contact the driver when the trailer(s) are full and ready to be picked up.

Responsible for cleaning and always maintaining this area in a sanitary condition.

Pallet Reclaim (Chep & Wood pallets)

When pallets are being removed from the plant they should be separated into two different stacks (good/bad). The lead will be responsible for making sure the pallets are separated, and that the good pallets get rinsed off and placed on a designated trailer to be reused for outbound RTE products.

Maintain Clean Stainless Steel vat inventory for use on production floor

Using high pressure hose, wash stainless steel vats with soap daily and place them inside plant

Clean vats as necessary to always provide an inventory of clean vats on the production floor

Work Environment
  • This position requires working on the production floor in a cold environment with an average temperature of 40°F. The employee will be exposed to moderate noise levels, fast-paced operations, moving machinery, wet and dry areas, and must always wear personal protective equipment (PPE). The role requires interaction with employees, contractors, and supervisors in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to handle chemical to wash stainless combos.
