The City of Cedar Park is hiring for a Utility Operator I or II to join our team in the Public Works and Utilities - Wastewater and Collections Department. High School Diploma, or its equivalent, plus at least one (1) year of experience in Water or Wastewater utility operations or construction for Utility Operator I; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
High School Diploma, or its equivalent, plus at least two (2) years of experience in Water or Wastewater utility operations or construction for Utility Operator II; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License, or the ability to obtain within 180 days (pending availability of class offering), with an acceptable driving record.
Utility Operator I: Must obtain a Class II Wastewater Collection License or Class C Water Distribution License within two years of hire.
Utility Operator II: Must possess a Class II Wastewater Collection license or Class C Water Distribution license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Other TCEQ licenses will be considered for equivalency.
Utility Operator I: $19.82 - $24.88 per hour
Utility Operator II: $21.85 - $27.43 per hour
