Responsibilities

  • Deburr, grind, sand, and clean manufactured parts to required quality standards.
  • Remove sharp edges, slag, burrs, and other surface imperfections.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials at saws, lasers, and bending equipment.
  • Stage raw materials and work-in-process according to the production schedule.
  • Help sort, count, identify, and move completed parts to the next operation.
  • Perform basic inspections using drawings, work instructions, and measuring tools.
  • Maintain accurate part identification and prevent parts from being mixed.
  • Support machine operators with material handling, cleanup, and routine production tasks.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Report quality, equipment, or material concerns to the lead or supervisor.
  • Perform other manufacturing and material‑handling duties as assigned.

PPS is seeking a Utility Operator I for our state-of-the-art fabrication facility in Hillsboro. This is a full-time permanent position with a great starting pay rate, second-to-none benefits, and a high ceiling for growth!

The Utility Operator I supports daily manufacturing operations by performing part finishing and assisting operators in the saw, laser, and bending work centers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
