About the Position:


The Utility Operator will work in multiple departments and shifts. No experience? Willing to learn? We want you! You may help operate an 11,000-ton forging press making parts as hot as 2200°F, machine parts for aerospace, operate a swing grinder for military parts, or cut Super Alloy material with a saw.

What You'll Do:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Assist in safe material handling using overhead cranes and wheeled equipment; operate grinders to remove defects
  • Assist in process activities such as Saw Operations, Forge, Heat Treat, Processing
  • Verify saw dimensions or weights; adjust controls for optimal operation
  • Operate saws for cutting, slotting, grooving, and trimming according to specs
  • Use hand, swing, and auto grinders to finish parts
  • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance; report defects
  • Perform yard duties: scrap disposal, tool arrangement, material transport
  • Complete operational data entry and maintain material traceability
  • Follow all safety, health, and environmental procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
