Job Description:

Position: Full-Time Utility Operator

Required Shifts: 12 Hour Shifts- Day Shift; 6 am-6:30pm. Night Shift; 6pm-6:30am. No rotating shifts!

Shift Schedules: Schedule is 4 on 4 off

Sign-On Bonus: $1500.00

Mars Petcare (Greenies) is hiring a Utility Operator at our climate-controlled Kansas City, MO location.

The Utility Operator is responsible for general packaging and basic production duties, including operating other production equipment as needed.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills – Preferably iPad
• Basic math and measuring skills; enjoys hands-on work and problem-solving
• Ability to work in a team; coachable
• Passion to work and learn in manufacturing
• Adaptability and resiliency

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 40lbs.
• Work in confined spaces, climb stairs and ladders

Key Responsibilities:

Support production and packaging of Greenies and Pill Pockets, including:

• Moving products
• Feeding bags into lines
• Inventory and administrative tasks
• Food safety and quality checks
• Preventative maintenance (CILs)
• Wearing uniforms and PPE
• Sanitation activities

Work reliably, conscientiously, and with a positive attitude. Mechanical aptitude preferred, no prior experience required.

Compensation:

• $1,500 sign-on bonus
• Pay based on experience
• Shift differential of $1.50
• Overtime potential
• Annual bonus and merit increases
