Job summary

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures correct number of cartons is placed on skid in the correct configuration.
• Provides packaging line with needed quantities of secondary packaging material to sustain continual operations.
• Completes assigned documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Verifies and validates the accuracy and legibility of all case code dates throughout assigned shift.
• Follows HACCP and Food Safety principles and verifies compliance to all Critical Control Points and Preventative Quality Checkpoints to ensure a safe, quality product is produced consistently.
• Reports food safety and quality issues and initiates action as necessary.
• Follows all Food Safety guidelines, such as, but not limited to:
  • GMPs
  • Allergen Program
  • Quality
  • HACCP
  • Sanitation
  • Safety
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Ability to make simple math calculations and measurements.
• Ability to read and speak basic English.
• Possess manual dexterity to manipulate hand jack and strength to pull +30 lbs.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height on an intermittent basis.
• Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedures.
• Ability to use basic tools and make simple mechanical adjustments.
• Willingness to work in hot, humid, and noisy environment.
• Willingness to work independently with minimum instructions.
• Willingness to work some weekends and overtime as needed.
• Adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) procedures.
• Maintain records, communicate, and correct out of control conditions.
• Read and understand basic flow charts.
• Wear all required protective equipment.
• Obey all food and human safety rules and regulations.
• Comply with all company policies and regulations.
