Job summary

The Utility Operator position in Canton, Ohio, offers a path to join a high-energy titanium production team with decades of industry experience. You'll work in Melt, Revert, and Grind operations, performing roles such as Grind Operator, Torch Operator, and Shear Press Operator.

This shift runs 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with some opportunities for overtime. The company provides benefits starting on day one, annual bonuses, attendance bonuses, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Preferred manufacturing experience.
  • Basic computer skills expected.
  • Problem solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret production orders and manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment such as tow motors, scales, hand tools, torches, and computers.
  • Follow production boards, shift logs, procedures and work instructions.
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  • Own equipment and housekeeping duties in assigned areas.
  • Set up, operate and perform routine maintenance on various machines.
  • Inspect and rate materials, verify weight and quantity produced.
  • Sort material by size, composition and category per procedures.
  • Provide feedback to improve productivity methods and maintain records.

Position Description:

The Utility Operator position, in Canton, Ohio, offers the opportunity to become a vital member of a high profile, high energy, Titanium production team with decades of industry leading experience. Work in one of our many exciting departments that include Melt, Revert and Grind operations. Offering a variety of job duties ranging fromGrind Operator, Torch Operator, and Shear Press Operator.

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation, quality and maintaining high productivity of plant production.

This shift runs 7:00 am - 3:00 pm 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, with some opportunities for overtime.

  • Operate equipment such as tow motors, scales, hand tools, torches, and computers.
  • Perform operations as directed from verbal and/or written documents such as: production boards shift logs, procedures, work instructions, checklists and/or manuals
  • Inspect the condition of the product to ensure quality and compliance with work standards.
  • Take ownership of equipment and areas including all housekeeping activities.
  • Properly set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on various machines.
  • Properly inspect and rate materials, verify weight and quantity of items produced.
  • Inspect the condition of the product to ensure quality and compliance with work standards.
  • Ability to follow procedures to sort material based on size, composition, and category.
  • Provide feedback to improve productivity methods.
  • Maintain time, production, operating records, logs, and prepared inventory.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

PREFERRED

  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Basic computers skills.
  • Problem solving skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work with others.
  • Aptitude to read and interpret production orders safety, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals.

Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required for certain jobs which include close vision.

Work Environment: The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee occasionally works in wet and/or humid conditions with fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is loud and the employee will be required to wear hearing protection.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
