Job description

Job Title: Utility Machine Operator

This is a great temp-to-hire, 1st shift opportunity with a Concord-based manufacturing facility.

Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, the Utility Machine Operator works proficiently with others but also has the ability to work well independently.

The Utility Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of lathe and industrial rotating equipment, grinders, mills, and other assigned machines.

Prior machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment or similar is required.

Job Responsibilities and Tasks

1. Trim and skim rolls to pre-grind specifications.
2. Cut locking grooves per SPI specifications when needed.
3. Complete paperwork on factory orders and product receiving reports.
4. Learn to operate new equipment.
5. Mix prepared raw materials for the covering process.
6. Keep machine and area clean.
7. Perform all tasks with or without supervision.
8. Perform maintenance, housekeeping, painting, and miscellaneous tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
9. Perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, bending) for extended periods.
