Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground while promoting damage prevention in your community. We will train you on the job and provide a 100% paid training program.

Outdoor work in all weather, independent problem solving, and speed are key assets. Upon joining, you will receive on-the-job training, a company vehicle to commute, PTO and paid holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have HS diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles several days a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of locating equipment and lift up to 75 lbs with aids.
• Pre-employment background and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best locating sequence.
• Use locate equipment and technology to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Document and process tickets and emails on a laptop.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
