ITG Communications is hiring a Utility Locator in Sanford, ME to identify and mark underground utilities, ensuring safe excavation and construction activities. The locator uses locating equipment, maps, and work orders to accurately identify paths and deliver timely locate services.
The role requires reading maps, interpreting records, documenting all locate activities, and maintaining safety standards in accordance with OSHA, 811 guidelines, and state regulations.
The Utility Locator is responsible for identifying and marking underground utilities to ensure safe excavation and construction activities. This role uses locating equipment, maps, and work orders to accurately identify the presence and path of underground facilities. The locator plays a critical role in preventing utility damages, maintaining public safety, and supporting field operations by delivering precise and timely locate services.
This is a safety-sensitive position. The employee has responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others. The employee must be able to perform all duties in accordance with safety regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
