Job Type: Full-time

Job Overview

A Utility Locator is responsible for identifying and marking underground utilities to prevent damage during excavation projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Use specialized equipment to detect and map utility lines.
• Document findings and provide reports to contractors and project managers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Work in various weather conditions and travel to different job sites.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to distinguish between color-coded utility markings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in utility locating or related fields is preferred but not required (training provided by some employers).
  
  

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
