Job description

For over seven decades, investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot).

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating, and industrial/commercial services.

Job Description

Responsible for locating and pinpointing the paths of cables, pipes, and other conduits that carry utilities underground. Our efforts are driven by quality and safety to protect underground utilities from damage during excavation. This job is managed out of Memphis, TN, and services the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

1. Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities.
2. Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
3. Using a company-provided vehicle, equipment, and laptop to document and close all tickets.

Qualifications

1. Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
2. Computer proficiency.
3. Able to work in confined spaces, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
4. Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
