Job summary

ELM Utility Services in Bountiful, Utah is seeking a Utility Locate Technician to mark underground gas, electric and communications lines. You will work outdoors with a company vehicle and daily tasks delivered via the LaunchPoint software system.

As a safety-sensitive DOT role, you will perform accurate locate work, support on-call rotations, and comply with DOT regulations. A valid license, HS diploma or GED, and pass drug/MVR/background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record.
• High School Diploma or GED; at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors with company vehicle and complete a route of locate requests daily.
• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and whiskers.
• Use the mobile work system to receive daily tasks.
• On-call rotation and overtime, including nights and weekends when needed.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Working independently outdoors with your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, you will complete a route of locate requests each day
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Use your mobile work system to receive your daily tasks
• Must be able to work on-call rotation and overtime as needed. This may include working on nights and weekends when necessary.
