Job summary

ELM Utility Services is seeking a Utility Locate Technician in Bountiful, Utah to locate and mark underground utilities and maintain accurate records for safe excavation. You will drive a company vehicle from home to daily job sites and use marking paint, flags, and a mobile system to receive tasks.

This Safety-Sensitive DOT role requires a valid driver’s license, a pre-employment background check, and compliance with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, MVR, and background check.
• Valid driver's license required and 18+.
• Safety-sensitive role under DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors using company vehicle to complete daily locate requests.
• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities with paint, flags, and whiskers.
• Use mobile work system to receive daily tasks.
• On-call rotation and overtime may be required, including nights/weekends.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Working independently outdoors with your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, you will complete a route of locate requests each day
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Use your mobile work system to receive your daily tasks
• Must be able to work on-call rotation and overtime as needed. This may include working on nights and weekends when necessary.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check.
