Job Description:

• Locate Technicians are responsible for accurately locating underground facilities such as telephone lines, electric power lines, cable TV lines, gas lines, fiber optic lines, water lines, and sewer lines.
• This role is key to ensuring compliance with client and state requirements.
• Service duties include observing, locating, marking, and documenting underground utilities using multiple methods.
• Technicians will be dispatched to locate and verify utilities for customers, working independently or in a team under supervision.
• Requires focus, skill, and the use of machinery/tools.

Employees are provided with necessary technology and work vehicles to perform their duties, including:

• Company vehicle, laptop, and smartphone
• All personal protective equipment

Key duties include:

• Locating underground facilities with transmitters and hooking up to buried utilities.
• Working in various terrains and weather conditions.
• Interpreting job orders, blueprints, and maps for efficient routing.
• Performing locates during regular hours and emergencies as needed.
• Communicating effectively with customers and team members.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Problem-solving ability
• Ability to interpret prints and blueprints
• Vacuum truck experience (preferred)
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs
• Physical stamina to stand/walk for hours
• Excellent communication skills
• Clean background and passing DOT drug test
