Job summary

Stake Center Locating in Fort Wayne, IN is hiring Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities and promote damage prevention. Training is provided on the job with 100% paid training and a starting pay of $21.25 or more based on experience.

The role requires working outdoors in all weather, independence, and good problem-solving skills. The company offers a vehicle with a fuel card, PTO and paid holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week and lift up to 25 lbs, with tool aids for heavier loads.

Responsibilities

• Train entry-level Locating Technicians.
• Use a tablet to receive, document, and process tickets and emails.
• Read maps and blueprints, determine locating sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners.
