Job summary

Asplundh Careers is seeking an Equipment Operator to remove branches and debris from electrical lines. The role requires operating heavy equipment across multi-state sites, loading and transporting gear, and performing site prep on rights-of-way.

A valid driver's license is required and safety is emphasized throughout daily tasks. The position is full-time, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and identify hazards.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment (bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, mowers, stump grinders).
• Transports equipment to multiple state job locations.
• Installs and removes gates, fences, barb wire, culverts, rocks and base.
• Works near highways and rights-of-way; uses a chainsaw to cut brush, logs and stumps.
• Feeds brush into wood chipper; applies herbicide to right-of-way with hose/nozzle and backpack sprayer.
• Maintains vehicles/equipment; performs routine servicing and safety checks.
• Assists senior spray personnel with herbicide mixing; works around hazardous equipment.
• Alerts to hazards, uses hearing protection against noise, and adapts to various temperatures.
