Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company in Lowville is seeking a temporary Quality Department associate to support Finished Product analysis, allergen inspections, sanitation, and calibration programs across shifts.

You will perform environmental monitoring, SAP data entry, and release of product under QA guidelines, ensuring safety and compliance and contributing to continuous improvement at the Lowville Plant.

Qualifications

• Licenses required include Milk Receivers, Direct Microscopic Count, and Charm Antibiotic detection.
• Fork Truck license required for material handling and shipping.
• Experience with environmental monitoring, sanitation and QA data entry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Duties include quality and sanitation tasks across shifts, including allergen inspections and calibration sampling.
• Environmental monitoring with equipment swabbing, air exposures, and microbiological testing.
• Enter and retrieve data using SAP and assist in positive release of finished product.
• Support safety programs and adhere to Kraft Heinz sanitation policies.

Job Description

Primary Function: Duties will include but not limited to : Vacation coverage for Quality Department (including Finished Product Analyst, Bacteriologist, Thermometer Calibration, and Hold & Release), performing allergen inspections, Purchasing, Sink validation program, calibration sampling, fork truck/inventories, cooling studies, DMC & Antibiotic testing, period work and ownership of quality programs as assigned. Management of the Kraft Heinz water program and providing coverage for string cheese will be required for this position.

Environmental Monitoring including Equipment Swabbing and air exposures, Calibrations and Thermometers, Analytical testing including wet chemistry (Fat, moisture, Titratable Acid, pH, Salt) and microbiological monitoring and testing (DMC, Petri-film/Pour plating, environmental). Entering & retrieving data using SAP; disposal of finished product or raw ingredients; customer sample requests; product delivery to the lab; shipment of samples, thermometer verifications, general housekeeping, weekly period work, and other quality and sanitation duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Sanitation : Will ensure that the equipment, area, and machinery he/she works with is cleaned and all rules of Sanitation reviewed during orientation are followed. Will keep work area clean and picked up for the following shift.

Quality Assurance : Ensures all products manufactured comply with the Quality Assurance Program and policies reviewed during the on the job training applicable to this specific operation function. Knowledge retention of all job duties trained on and capable of referencing JSM's as needed. Responsible for review of quality programs to conduct positive release of finished product.

Safety: Will follow instructions delivered during the training that explained the fundamentals of the Kraft Heinz Safety Process and will keep himself/herself and others away from harm while performing his/her duties. Will adhere to LOTO policy and procedures.

Work on all shifts expected, Weekend and Holiday work will be required. Schedule is based on a 7 day/week production; therefore, workdays may fluctuate from week to week based on production. May perform different duties throughout the week as required.
