Job Title: Utility Inspector Job Description The Utility Inspector plays a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of water mains and other utility infrastructure. This position focuses on field inspections, documentation of structural conditions, coordination of construction-related services, and adherence to regulatory standards. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects while working independently in the field with full training and support.
This is a field-based role with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The position operates fully remote from the field, with the Utility Inspector working independently at various sites rather than in a central office. Team members use their personal vehicles for travel to inspection locations and receive mileage reimbursement at a generous rate aligned with current guidelines. The role involves regular use of inspection tools, equipment, tablets, and mobile applications or reporting software to capture and submit data. Training is provided for all necessary tools, technologies, and procedures. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jeffersonville, IN.
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
