Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is offering a Utility Infrastructure Internship for the summer. Interns will work with engineers on real utility projects, including water and stormwater systems, performing design work, calculations, and field visits.

Qualifications

Students majoring in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Land Surveying, Structural Engineering, or related programs with a focus on Civil Engineering
Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license for travel to project sites
Strong work ethic, effective communication skills, and eagerness to learn and take on new challenges

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Project Managers and Indianapolis Department of Public Works to research data and records for regulatory compliance
Use GIS, client databases, and historic records to uncover important project information
Gain insight into working as a consultant in a client-focused environment and communicate professional results
Conduct research, summarize findings, and help prepare permit applications, technical exhibits, design drawings, and inspection records
Support the team with other tasks as needed
