General Description
The foreman supervises field operations of a pipe crew. They will also engage in the trade work performed by the crew.
Key Duties
- Knowledgeable in the areas of pipework for sanitary sewer, drains, and watermains
- Directly supervisors pipe crew, reporting to Superintendent
- Operates and supervises the operation of heavy equipment on project sites
- Reads, understands, and interprets drawings and specifications
- Provides reports on time and materials
- Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met
- Use of heavy equipment and supervision of the use of heavy equipment
- Dewatering, bypass pumping, wet utilities, heavy equipment, line alignment, leak testing
- Knowledge of local specifications, materials, and methods
- Flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes
Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs
- Proven experience supervising subsurface construction, ability to multi-task and resolve issues
