Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are expanding our utility field operations and hiring Utility Field Technicians to support a large-scale gas infrastructure project across Ohio.

This is serious field work involving gas meter sites in residential and commercial areas.

The role requires precision, strict adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to maintain a steady pace while collecting accurate data in the field while working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

This role requires discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety procedures exactly as instructed.

The work performed in this role directly supports gas infrastructure safety and reliability, making attention to detail critical.

Team members will work outdoors, follow digital route assignments, and may be required to travel long distances across the state depending on project needs. While we strive to keep technicians working as close to their home location as possible, this is primarily a travel-based role.

Candidates should be prepared to travel approximately 80% of the time, which may include overnight hotel stays. Hotel accommodations, per diem, and mileage reimbursement are provided when travel is required.

Technicians may occasionally interact with residents or property owners while performing site visits. This position does not involve selling any products or services, but professional and respectful communication is expected when interacting with the public.

This project is expected to run through the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension. This role is best suited for individuals who take pride in precision, accountability, and doing the job right the first time.
