Job summary

SK battery America in Commerce, Georgia, is seeking a Facility Inspector and Technical Support specialist to oversee HVAC systems, review facility requests, and manage maintenance programs. The role includes creating operation manuals and conducting regular inspections to ensure reliability and safety.

You will lead energy saving planning, compliance audits for PSM/ISO, construction supervision of HVAC upgrades, and emergency planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical degree in HVAC, chemical, industrial engineering or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in HVAC/utility equipment preferred.
• English communication (verbal and written) required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and review facility operations and respond to requests.
• Develop and manage facility operation manuals and maintenance plans.
• Perform regular facility inspections (daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly).
• Plan energy saving initiatives and monitor performance.
• Prepare reports on abnormalities and maintain records for history.
• Supervise HVAC facility construction or repairs and review drawings (P&ID).
• Plan emergency trainings and response for disasters or power loss.

Job description

Facility inspection and technical support on HVAC and relevant system

• Review/repair the facility based on the requests received by the system
• Develop/manage/revise the facility operation manual
• Daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly facility inspection
• Identify the cause of the facility abnormalities and review the technology
• Prepare the reports of abnormalities to manage the history (if needed)
• Plan to optimize the operation efficiency
• Manage pipe (air, water supply, etc.)
• Establish and manage annual maintenance/repairment plan and budget
• Request for renovation, and issue a purchase order (P/O)
• Review construction drawings and make simple modifications (P&ID, etc)
• Write down specifications for repairs and new construction, and write down construction documents for public use
• Request for new facility's quotations and issue a construction purchase order
• Manage facility investment performance

Energy saving planning and Performance Management

• Analyze the energy usage trends by each equipment
• Identify energy saving potential items by equipment
• Manage monthly energy saving performance (operating time applied)
• Government relations
• Respond to regular court inspection on HVAC facilities
• Review, check and rectify such that the facility meets local law and regulations

Audit preparation and response

• Create and manage documents on the facility required by PSM/ISO
• Take appropriate measures to improve facility, and correct non-conformities specified by PSM/ISO

Construction management/supervising

• Supervise the HVAC facility construction (due to repair and extension of HVAC facility, or due to change of production line)
• Request purchase of facility parts (purchase request)
• Purchase order of construction materials
• Inspect materials

Emergency planning and Response

• Plan and execute emergency trainings on natural disasters, lack of power, and release of harmful substances

Skill and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or technical degree in HVAC, chemical, industrial engineering or equivalent
• Experience - At least 1-3years of relevant experience Preferably in HVAC and utility equipment
• Certification - HVAC/PE related certification
• Language skills - Must be able to communication in English (verbal and written)
• Computer skills - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft office ( Excel, word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar programs (reading and drawing)
