Job summary

Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer to perform general maintenance repairs, respond to trouble calls, and conduct preventative work in public areas and guest rooms.

The role requires basic troubleshooting across electricity, plumbing, and related systems, and involves carpentry tasks to repair doors, cabinetry, drywall, ceilings, flooring, trim, and furniture to maintain hotel facilities and aesthetics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial carpentry or building maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of general building construction, woodworking techniques, and repair methods.
• Ability to safely use carpentry tools and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Laundry and kitchen machine troubleshooting experience is a plus.

Summary

Utility Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and construction of building components to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the facility. This position performs a wide variety of skilled carpentry work, including repairing doors, frames, cabinetry, drywall, ceilings, flooring, trim, furniture, and other interior and exterior building finishes.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of commercial carpentry or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general building construction, woodworking techniques, and repair methods.
• Ability to safely use carpentry tools and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts as required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Laundry and kitchen machine troubleshooting experience is a plus.
